“I am truly humbled at being able to watch my video on a show that I grew up watching…this moment is incredible and I am simply thankful”

This is what FAME had to say after his video premiered on 106 & Park earlier this week. Be on the look out for homeboy, he also been announced as one of the 2012 BET Music Matters Artists. If you’re feeling this joint, you can go and download his last mixtape “The Hybrid Season” and watch him freestyle over Drake’s “Headline”.

MSDTV was on the scene last night, heavy – to capture the release party for Brooklyn MC and MBK Entertainment recording artist, Fame, who dropped his anticipated debut street release “The Hybrid Season” yesterday.

LaVie Lounge was the venue of choice for this monumental occasion, as those in attendance included the entire MBK crew, together with a select group of family, friends and fans who shared in the celebration with the artist.  Power 105.1’s DJ Envy and DJ Self came through to show some love, each offering their own individual segments on the 1’s and 2’s – which included special cuts featured on “The Hybrid Season”; an accolade that was visibly appreciated by the rapper and his camp.

“The Hybrid Season” offers an impressive integration of rap lyrical content, merged with soft, affecting vocals, which overall, gives the tape a refreshing vibe – a mixture that does justice to the world of hip-hop and R&B as it is, presently.  “The Hybrid Season” showcases Fame’s ability to present something for the ladies & the fellas, simultaneously – hence, a fusion aptly reflected in the mixtape’s title.
