Yesterday, DJ Scratch broke the news via twitter that rapper Erick Sermon, half of the group EPMD, suffered a massive heart attack over the weekend.

Details on Sermon’s health and recovery are still cloudy, but according to Scratch (who once DJed for EPMD), he seems to be stable condition.

DJ Scratch confirmed the health scare last night tweeting:

“Erick Sermon had a heart attack today . . . He’s ok, but still send your prayers. He is not on Twitter.”

After fans continued to tweet their questions at him in regards to Sermon, replied, “I wish yall tweet me this much when I tweet good news. Smh”

Erick Sermon is one half of the legendary New York group EPMD along with Parrish Smith. Sermon scored several hits–including 1987’s “It’s My Thing,”–with Parrish Smith as part of EPMD (Erick and Parrish Making Dollars). His first solo album No Pressure was released in 1993. The rapper is 42 years old and is said to weigh approximately 350 pounds.

Keep this legend in prayer. Of course, MSDTV will keep you posted.

Stay Tuned.

Puma showcased their undefeated collection at Good Units on Tuesday, April 6th with the help of some top notch local and renown Deejays. Although the event wasn’t really the ” DJ battle” most had expected it to be, it definitely presented good music, good vibes (via the open bar) and great Puma apparel. S/o to DJ Kid Carpri, DJ Scratch, DJ Spinna, Kenny Dope and the other great DJs that made us remember some of the classic moments in hip-hop music. Check out the dope kicks and flicks from the event:
