After Jay Z and Beyonce lost their bid to trademark the name Blue Ivy (due to a party planning company already owning the rights), the Carters have re-filed their claim using Blue Ivy’s full name.

And if it goes through, expect a Blue Ivy Carter bonanza!

Exactly a month and two days after her birth and her famous daddy making her song to acknowledge her, we finally get to see BLUE IVY CARTER. Guess Hov’s & Bey said it was time to share their biggest moment with the world.

She even got her own Tumblr! Hit the jump for the wonderful flicks. (more…)

Jay-Z and Beyonce’s security detail carefully orchestrated the “getaway” of the rapper, singer and their newborn daughter, Blue Ivy from Lenox Hill Hospital in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday, Jan. 10. According to The Daily News, two black SUVs and a van exited the hospital’s loading dock at 1:30 AM.

One of the two SUVs blocked traffic on Park Ave. so the van would not be impeded.

The second SUV pulled in behind the van, apparently to prevent anyone from following the music icons and their newborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Van believed to be have carried Beyonce, Jay-Z and their baby.

We’re not sure where baby Blue and her parents went after the stealth exit but we’re glad she’s home and probably in the loving embrace of a huge extended family at this moment.

This is speculation but new parents at Lenox Hill Hospital probably  breathed a sigh of relief at the departure of the hip hop mogul, quadruple threat and their baby Blue.

Stay tuned for more.

No, that’s not Beyonce or Jay-Z in the photograph above. However, they are both musicians. The couple are Neil and Rozz Nash-Coulon. The 38-year-old contractor was denied access to visit his newborn preemies because of the heavy security surrounding the NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.  Rozz Nash-Coulon gave birth to the premature twins on December 28th and the couple and their family have been visiting them in the hospital everyday. Coulon alleges “the stress of his wife delivering two premature girls was tripled by Beyonce’s bodyguards treating Lenox Hill Hospital like an exclusive nightclub.” In addition to having to wait more than 20 minutes at times to see his children, his family was banished from the waiting room by Beyonce and Jay-Z’s guards. Needless to say Mr. Coulon, his wife and family are not pleased.

“I know they spent $1.3 million and I’m just a contractor from Bed-Stuy, but the treatment we received was not okay,” he scoffed. “My wife is just terribly upset. She had a C-section. She gave birth to twins. She is sore. Nobody needs this.”

Many have questioned the actions of not just the celebrity couple but Lenox Hill Hospital. Birthing space is already at a premium in New York City hospitals. Also, there is always the possibility of complications during birth that may extend the amount of time a mother and child spend in the hospital. While Jay-Z and Beyonce are not the first celebrity couple to make special demands in the name of privacy and security, the pending birth of baby Blue Ivy was heavily covered.

It’s natural for parents to care for the safety of their offspring. However, did Beyonce and Jay-Z’s wealth cause the hospital to neglect the needs of other mothers and fathers?

Taiwan’s Next Media Animation made a video to illustrate what they imagine to have happened the day Blue Ivy was born at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Watch the video after the break. (more…)

When Beyonce and Jay-Z walk into a room they should proudly announce their skills as a couple include making hits, having the supernatural ability to make people wait for the birth of their child as if it was the second coming and crashing servers.

Jay-Z and Beyonce released a joint statement about the birth of Baby Blue on Beyonceonline.com and posted the link with the text below to Facebook.

Hello Hello Baby Blue!

We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven.

She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.

We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.

– Beyoncé & JAY Z

It’s lovely to see parents gush over their children. The couple is so in love with their baby-in-charge; Blue Ivy Carter AKA B.I.C.

Hmm, now is a good time for Jay and Bey to start working on another collaboration … a children’s song CD! Our guess is this would be the best selling CD based on songs for kids — EVER!

Congrats again, Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Stay tuned for more.
