Wayne Brady discusses Black Lightning, upcoming album and more!

Wayne Brady stopped by the studio to discuss some of the new projects he has coming up.

In addition to a new partnership with Tracfone, the Emmy Award winner will soon star as Gravedigger in CW’s Black Lightning. He’ll also be releasing new music and a full length album very soon.

Brady also talked about why he’s more that just his Chappelle show appearence.

Before the second season premiere of  ‘Black Lightning,’ I had the pleasure of speaking with the series’ star Cress Williams.

In our chat, Williams opened up about the historical nature of the show (it’s the first TV series with a black superohero family), his aspirations for the series, and the possibility of crossovers.

He’s also touched on the show’s timely topics of race, social injustice and issue affecting the black community. Check out the full interview after the break.
