It’s looks like hip-hop has made it’s first beef of the new year – and it’s ladies first.

NYC rapper Azealia Banks, who is known to go off at the slightest irritation, has chosen her next target in fellow female emcee Angel Haze. Unfortunately for Banks, Angel (who clearly isn’t angelic in her rhymes) doesn’t seem like she invested in backing down anytime soon…


On the BET red carpet, Angel Haze and K’La talk women in hip-hop and how they deal with the pressures to conform. Both artists address how they plan to make an impact in hip-hop and offer advice to burgeoning femees in the game.

Egypt also offers her thoughts on industry and explains why she left New York radio for Atlanta.

Last night, MSDTV came out to S.O.B.’s for H-Town’s own Trae Tha Truth’s album release party for his 3rd solo project “Street King”, which will be released on June 28th.  The event was sponsored by Source Magazine,, Youheardthatnew, Ballers Eve Radio, and HoustonSoReal.  Opening acts included female unsigned artist, Angel Haze, New Orleans rapper Dee-1, and Anthem – in addition to a couple of special guest appearances from French Montana, Maino, Fred The Godson, Styles P., Jadakiss, and hip-hop pioneer DJ Kool Herc!
