R&B crooner Ameriie (formerly, Amerie) tied the knot at a private ceremony yesterday on the small island of Anguilla in the West Indies.
The 30-year old singer wed her boyfriend of almost 4 years, and former Columbia Records executive Lenny Nicholson at the luxurious resort, Viceroy Anguilla. The celebration would be followed by their honeymoon at the elegant Romance Villa which includes their own private beach. The Grammy-nominated singer says to People,
“This is such an exciting time for me,” she states. “This is my first marriage and I am over the moon.
“I look forward to a loving and enduring marriage. This day couldn’t come any sooner for me, I am beyond thrilled.
“I will remember this day forever.”
The Island Def Jam recording artist is working on her fifth studio album currently, entitled Cymatika Vol. 1, which is the follow-up to her last release Love & War in 2009. Her upcoming CD is set to be released sometime in 2012.
