According to The Washington Post, Sterling is the 122nd black person who has been shot and killed by the police in 2016 alone. On Wednesday, July 6, another black man named Philando Castile was fatally shot by an officer after he was pulled over for a traffic stop in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.
