Ms. Drama TV hit the scene yesterday afternoon at the first ever BETX Secret Stage artist performance showcase held inside the Clive Davis Theater at the Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles…

Hosted by VH1’s “The Gossip Game” cast-member, K. Foxx, the presentation boasted an impressive lineup of both indie and big-name artists, which included Maya Alzucena, Angie Stone, Bobby V, Kierra Sheard, and Ledisi. After each artist’s performance, followed a Q&A session with K. Foxx.

The standout indie performance goes to singer-songwriter, Maya Alzucena for her intimate and graceful acoustic arrangement.

Born in Flatbush, Brooklyn, Alzucena began singing at the sweet age of four.

A domestic violence survivor – the soulful ambassador pleased the audience with her clean and powerful vocals.

But of course, Bobby V hit the BETX Secret Stage in an all-white suit, gold chains and sunglasses – a classic Bobby Valentino move as the women screamed and hollered in excitement for him to hit the stage.

The 33-year-old musician not only gave the audience a taste of his past hits, but he also graced listeners with his new single titled, “Back To Love.”

Having always worked to make radio hits, Bobby V is looking to re-invent his image this time around. With five contemporary R&B albums under his belt, the suave crooner is getting older and growing up.

The kids don’t have anything to listen to anymore. Nobody, to me, is giving anything of substance and I want to be that dude.

Although R&B seems to be a dying art form, perhaps Bobby V’s forthcoming album “Fly On The Wall” will be the record to make a change for smooth soul.
