Swizz Beatz Is Now A Global Ambassador For New York’s Public Hospitals

Native New Yorker Swizz Beatz is giving back to his city .

The hip hop artist was introduced as the new spokesman for the Big Apple’s Health and Hospitals Corporation on September 27th while at the unveiling of the newly renovated Harlem Hopsital along side Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New York Representative Charles B. Rangel. The hospital now houses an art-filled Mural Pavilion, which is currently displaying paintings originally commissioned back in 1936.

As the new global ambassador for New York’s public hospitals, it will be Swizz Beatz’s job to raise awareness and boost funds for New York medical centers. He will also act as curator of the medical center’s lobby, carefully choosing what artwork to display.
