Actor Sherman Hemsley Remains Unburied Due To Estranged Brother’s Dispute Over Money

Comedic actor, Sherman Hemsley, who died of lung cancer on July 24, has not been buried as of yet.

Sadly the “Amen” actor’s body is still at unrest due to a mysterious long lost brother from Philadelphia who claims he’s entitled to the estate…

According to reports, Sherman Hemsley signed his last will and testament just six weeks before his passing, leaving his entire estate, worth $50,000, to his manager Flora Enchinton.

Sherman’s brother, Richard Thornton, is contesting the will – saying the document is fraudulent.

Flora tells the Associated Press that she has been Sherman’s manager for over 20 years and lived with the actor and his friend Kenny Johnston and never heard Sherman mention any relatives.

Flora explains:

“Some people come out of the woodwork — they think Sherman, they think money. But the fact it that I did not know Sherman when he was in the limelight. I met them when they (Hemsley and Johnston) came running from Los Angeles with not one penny, when there was nothing but struggle.”

No date has been set for a hearing.
