When It Rains, It Pours: Chad & Evelyn Get Sued By The Island Of St. Maarten

You know your ish is messed up when a country’s government decides to sue you.
And so continues the saga for Evelyn Lozada and Chad OchoCinco Johnson as they both were named as defendants in a lawsuit from St. Maarten’s government – for money given to host their reality show wedding – that we all know is NEVER going to air…

The island gave Chad and Evelyn a check of $90,000 for their made-for-TV wedding that was expected to be a boost for tourism to the Caribbean island.

Their reality show, named Eve and Ocho, was scheduled to air in the U.S. on September 3rd but was abruptly canceled after Chad and Evelyn’s violent episode – which ultimately led to divorce after 41 days.

Interestingly, the cancellation also set off a government scandal in St. Maarten because apparently several Council Ministers who had pushed the Eve and Ochco deal through Parliament – did NOT get the approval of the Prime Minister and are thought to have received kickbacks from the deal.
Stay Tuned.
