It has been an interesting week in programming at BET.

Fans of Reed Between the Lines will have to officially say good by to Carla (Tracee Ellis Ross) and hello to Tony Rock in the upcoming season, while Kelly Rowland is apparently being given her own show on the network..

The Hollywood Reporter explains:

Reed Between the Lines’ second season finds Alex’s (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) life in turmoil now that he’s faced with an unplanned separation. He’ll turn to his family and oldest friends as he looks to adjust to life as a single father without his wife as he ponders how long Carla (Girlfriends’ Tracee Ellis Ross) will be gone — and if she’s even coming back.

Tony Rock, Charlie Robinson from Night Court and Michole White join the cast as series regulars.

Plus —The Hollywood Reporter says that BET has ordered a pilot featuring Kelly Rowland:

The singer-actress, who spent a season judging the U.K. version of The X Factor, has been tapped to star in a comedy pilot at BET.

The Bernie Mac Show‘s Warren Hutcherson will executive produce What Would Dylan Do (working title), which will be written and co-executive produced by Julian Breece(BET’s Buppies).

Rowland, whose acting credits include episodes ofAmerican Dreams, The Hughleys and Girlfriends, will star as Dylan, a struggling L.A.-based relationship blogger who lives with her best friend Cherise (Gabrielle Dennis, The Game) and wealthy and divorced roommate Brooke (Melanie Liburd, Strike Back).
