Rapper Saigon has never been one to hold his tongue or his opinion – but a statement against a top rapper in the game apparently has him backpedaling his statement to save face.
Last week Brooklyn rapper Saigon took a swipe at Rick Ross, blasting him and drug culture rap with promises to shut him down. However, once he was quoted online — the former entourage star denied ever having said it.
Unfortunately for him, he didn’t take into consideration that the interview was being recorded.
Saigon told SOHH
“Rick Ross and all these n*ggas rapping about drug dealing, all the sh*t that f*cks up the black community, they’re not gonna be able to make no money. I’m gonna shut all their money down. Why ya’ll supportin’ a n*gga that promotes the destruction of our community? Why are you doin’ that? Why would you let this n*gga thrive and we don’t know where our next jobs are coming from? He’s rapping about selling kilos of cocaine and selling drugs. This is what he’s about, this whole lifestyle saying he’s so rich and he eats shrimp every night, and ya’ll support this sh*t? and ya’ll broke and poor and your family’s about to get kicked out.”
Here’s how Saigon explained the matter at first.
That’s when SOHH presented the audio.
