G-Dep Is Convicted Of Second Degree Murder, Could Face Up To 15 Years In Prision

Doing the right thing when you do something wrong doesn’t always mean you won’t still have to pay the price. Case in point for 90s rapper G-Dep, who was just convicted for a murder he committed in 1993.

Yesterday, (April 18) G. Dep, born Trevell Coleman, was convicted by a jury of for killing a man while trying to rob him almost 20 years ago.

He faces at least 15 years in prison.

Defense lawyer Anthony Ricco says the rapper remains convinced he did the right thing by coming forward.

G. Dep, now 37, went to a police station in December 2010. He said he’d fired at someone on a Harlem corner when he was about 17 to 19. Authorities then matched his account with the 1993 death of John Henkel.

Our prayers go out to G-Dep and his family.

Stay Tuned.
