Singer Bobby Brown, 43, was just released today (March 27) after he was arrested in Southern California Monday afternoon on suspicion of driving under the influence. Now the singer is back out after being behind bars for less than 24 hours.
California Highway Patrol says the ex of Whitney Houston was arrested around 12:20 p.m. in the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles. He was booked after failing a field sobriety test.
According to police, the arrest occurred near the corner of Victory Boulevard and Wilbur Avenue. The R&B star was pulled over after an officer saw him talking on his cellphone without a hands-free unit and noticed he appeared to be impaired.
Los Angeles police say Brown paid $5,000 bail and was released on his own recognizance shortly before 2 p.m.
