Most can agree that New Jersey Nets player, Kris Humphries has made some pretty bad choices in the last year. The biggest being his marriage with reality star Kim Kardashian that lasted only 72 days. Now it seems that the NBA player is setting him self up for another major fail.

TMZ reports that the Minnesota native recent filed legal documents to represent himself in his divorce from Kim Kardashian.

Humphries, who earns an annual salary of $8 million with the New Jersey Nets, initially planned to have his Minnesota business lawyer represent him in the divorce. But according to California law, an out-of-state lawyer must have a local attorney by his side – so he hired a Los Angeles lawyer.

While all seemed good and dandy, TMZ  reports that the L.A. lawyer withdrew from the case, leaving Humphries without a defender, and giving the NBA player the notion that he can handle this battle by himself.

Unfortunately, what Humphries may not know – is that he will be going toe-to-toe with Laura Wasser, one of the most powerful divorce lawyers in Hollywood with a celeb roster that includes Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, Kiefer Sutherland, Stevie Wonder and many other.

Good luck with this one Kris. You’re going to need it.

Of course, MSDTV will keep you posted. Stay Tuned.
