Centric remembers R&B legend Mary “Teena Marie” Brockert in “Being: Teena Marie” this Sunday, March 4 at Midnight ET.


The one-hour documentary “Being: Tina Marie” remembers the life and legacy of soul-singer Mary “Teena Marie” Brockert who passed away in 2010 at the age of 54.


The film features lost footage of a sit-down interview from the documentary “The Hippest Trip In America: Soul Train.” Teena Marie discusses growing up in Venice, Calif., performing on “Soul Train,” her friend ship with Rick James, and more with director J. Kevin Swain. Viewers will see performances by Teena Marie’s daughter Alia Rose (who serves as one of the executive producers), Lalah Hathaway, Faith Evans, Shanice Wilson, Smokey Robinson Jr. and Nelson George.
