Although singer Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston had a tempestuous 15-year marriage, it’s clear they loved each other very dearly.

Bobby Brown is distraught and “in and out of crying fits” … after getting the news that Whitney Houston is dead — but his New Edition band mates are by his side trying to console him.

TMZ reports Brown and his New Edition band mates have a show in Mississippi, and the show will go on.

Brown and Houston have one child; 17 year-old Bobbi Kristina.
