Caught In The Act: Gayle King Says Oprah Never Wrote Wendy Williams A Letter

Talk show host and personality Wendy Williams just got served — by Gayle King.

It seems that the outspoken host, essentially misspoke about her recent announcement claiming that she received a letter from Oprah. The alleged letter came after speculation that the two were feuding due to Gayle’s decision to leave Oprah’s OWN channel for the CBS morning news show.

Williams presented “the letter” to her audience and viewers on the show.

But on the Tom Joyner radio show this past Friday, King said Oprah NEVER sent a letter:

“The letter that I heard Wendy read — I didn’t see it — I know Oprah never wrote a letter to Wendy,” King told Joyner. “I said, ‘I’m getting all these messages that you wrote a letter to Wendy,’ and she goes, ‘Gayle, you know more than anybody knows that that’s not true,’ number one.”

Gayle also made sure to clear up the rumors that she and Oprah’s relationship wasn’t over. King explained that Oprah was the one who encouraged her to take the new job. She recalled:

‘[Oprah] said, ‘Are you kidding? This is so what you do, the news is what you love… you would be crazy to pass it up!’”

Sigh, I hope Wendy didn’t just pull a rating stunt. I’m sure she’ll have a legitimate? response for this on.

Of course, MSDTV will keep you posted. Stay Tuned.
