News: Herman Cain “Suspends” Presidential Campaign, Claims He Is At Peace With Himself

The pressures of the campaign tour have apparently taken its toll on Republican Presidential candidate, Herman Cain as he officially decided to suspended his Presidential campaign until further notice.

Cain announced his news in Atlanta yesterday, with his wife on stage by his side for support.

As noted in the latest reports, the campaign trail has been tough for the Republican candidate as new allegations of a possible 13-year affair with a woman named Ginger White recently emerged, causing an unexpected halt to Cain’s recent progress.

As a result, Cain has decided to suspend his 2012 campaign for the White House with the lack of funding, low poll ratings, and bad staffing cited as some of his major issues.

Cain did lead some surveys in October, slipping into third place in a Nov. 22 national poll released by Hamden, Connecticut-based Quinnipiac University as former House Speaker Newt Gingrich rose to take the lead. Cain returned home to Atlanta Dec. 2 for his first face-to-face talk with his wife since the accusation of an extramarital affair surfaced Nov. 28.

Cain explains:

“I am at peace with my God,” he said. “I am at peace with my wife, and she is at peace with me. And I am at peace with my family and I am at peace with myself.”

With Cain dropping out, it seems like the new Republican go to guy may now be Newt Gingrich. If that’s the case — then this may be the time to hide you kids,  your wives and your husbands.

Of course, MSDTV will keep you posted.
