Dr. Dre Says It’s Time For A Break, Detox Is On Permeant Hiatus

Dr. Dre is officially talking a break from the music scene – and with his latest focus being on other artists upcoming albums – it doesn’t look too good for his highly anticipated album Detox.

This indefinite musical pause will come after he finishes working on Kendrick Lamar and Slim the Mobster’s respective albums. The Dr. tells FaderTV:

“These are the next two artists I’m working on, Slim Da Mobster and Kendrick Lamar. I think that’s when I’m gonna just wrap it up for a minute because I’ve been working on music for 27 years now and the longest I’ve ever been out of the studio in 27 years has been two weeks,” Dre said. “So yeah, I feel like I’m gonna take a little bit of a break. I’m never gonna stop music, it’s like air to me.

Sadly, this may be the last chapter for Detox fans as Dre did not mention a timetable for album, although earlier reports state that Slim the Mobster, Kendrick Lamar and former protégé Snoop Dogg have all contributed to the project.

Of course, MSDTV will keep you posted. Stay Tuned.
