Steve Jobs, Founder of Apple, Dies at 56


The creator of the world famous iPhone & the innovative iPad, Steve Jobs has passed away at 56 years. Steve Jobs had been battling with Pancreatic cancer for several years. On August 24th, Steve Jobs announced he would be stepping down as CEO releasing this statement :

“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know,” Jobs wrote in his letter of resignation. “Unfortunately, that day has come.”

Steve Jobs visions had created opportunities for todays musicians and much of today’s artists can attribute their success to the lane Steve Jobs had created. With the game changing creations of¬†¬†iTunes (2003), the iPhone (2007), the App Store (2008), and the iPad (2010) Steve has helped new artists emerge and classics come back to life.

Successor Tim Cook issued the following :

“We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,” read a statement by Apple’s board of directors. “Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.”

The music industry, the world and MDTV will miss Steve Jobs.
