|News| Willow Smith Debut Album Is Close From Being Done

We haven’t heard from Willow Smith in a minute…but we finally got some got news for her fans. Producer of her platinum selling record “Whip My Hair”, Ronald ‘Jukebox’ Jackson, recently told MTV News her debut LP, Willow, is close from seeing the light of day.

Here’s what the producer had to say on her upcoming album:

“I did like eight, nine songs on [Smith’s debut] Willow, so right now, we’re in the process of just trying to close out the album.”

He then explain how the label didn’t want to rush Willow Smith after her initial success.

“It’s just the whole process. You’ve got to think about it: she’s a 10-year-old girl. She’s gotta have a life, she’s gotta be a kid.”

“Jukebox” continued by talking about Willow’s range of influences from several different genres of music.

“Willow is kind of a combination of what ‘Whip My Hair’ was,” he added. “Willow isn’t just an pop star, she isn’t just an urban artist, she’s very international. A lot of her music has a very big influence of everything from rock to pop to hip-hop.”

MSDTV will update you when we get a release day.
