G.O.O.D. Music artist, Big Sean was arrested after a sexual abuse complaint during his concert with Wiz Khalifa Thursday evening at Artpark State Park.
According to the Associated Press, the rapper was accused of sexual assault along with one of his associates, Willie Hansbro, for sexually asssaulting a female (who’s name has not been released). Upon the arrest, both men were charged with misdemeanors that include forcible touching, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, and sex abuse in the third degree; which necessitates both Sean and Hansbro’s appearance in court, scheduled for September 6th. Both men were released on a $500 bail, and maintain their innocence. Sean’s lawyer Scott E. Leemon releases this statement on behalf of both individuals,
“Last night, recording artists, Sean ‘Big Sean’ Anderson and Willie ‘Sayitainttone’ Hansbro were arrested and then immediately released by the NY State Police in connection with an allegation made by a female who was at their concert in Lewiston, New York,” Leemon says. “Both men were charged with misdemeanors and they both vehemently deny the allegations. I am confident, that after further investigation, both men will be vindicated.”
Big Sean is currently on Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers Tour, and is nominated for a VMA in the Best New Artist category for Finally Famous‘ lead single, “My Last”.
