Torrence Hatch, better known as rapper Lil Boosie, is facing the death penalty for allegedly playing a vital role in the murder of a 35-year old man.  In addition to these charges, the rapper is also being accused of attempting to smuggle drugs (specifically, codeine syrup) into prison for the second time.

Lil Boosie is currently spending time behind bars at the Angola State Prison in Louisiana for the aforementioned crimes, and is likely to face the death penalty via lethal injection in the upcoming months.  Presently, he is serving time with charges including first-degree murder after allegedly paying off a 16-year old to carry out a hit on a man by the name of Terry Boyd.  Boosie is also under fire for supposedly paying the same 16-year old for arranging the murder of known adversary, Christopher ‘Nussie’ Jackson.

Recently, the rapper was found trying to smuggle codeine syrup into the prison, upon which he attempted to make a mixture with, but was reported anonymously to authorities.  These new charges against him tack on an additional 5 years to his sentence.
