Rumors have recently circulated that rapper/producer, Kanye West will debut a highly sophisticated, women’s-wear collection for New York Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2011. The 34-year-old has indicated previous apprenticeships with some of fashion’s top houses including, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and Belgian Fashion Designer, Raf Simmons. However, West did team up with Nike, Inc. in 2009, releasing a sneaker line entitled, Air Yeezy. Not to forget the May launch of West’s exclusive scarves; inspired by Painter, George Condo’s cover work for, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” the 5th studio album dropped by Hip-Hop’s, “Jack-of-all-Trades.” But, does West have what it takes to make an everlasting mark on the catwalks of New York?
