This week MSDTV spotlights a underground artist deserving of shine. Check out New York’s own Jumz:

This New York MC worked hard to gain the recognition he deserves in the industry. Gaining popularity by performing at all the minor and major industry events in the city such as opening for Tone Trump and Grafh in New York, for Cuban Link in Washington DC’s Club Fur, shows in Conneticut and the DMV as well as Wisconsin, then rocking out the most famous NYC clubs such as Club Element, Webster Hall, and Sullivan Hall. Maintaining true to his beliefs, he organized shows for other independent artists in the NYC area inorder to give light to other MC’s who would have gone unnoticed in the eyes of the industry’s elite, making him not only an artist but also a mogul in the works. One of the only artists nominated this year without having any affiliation to major record labels or popular “internet acts” he’s excited to see that there still is plenty of integrity left in the hip hop music business.
