Jay-Z was a lone wolf on Thursday to host the listening session for Watch The Throne at the Mercer Hotel in front of a select few (20) that included Yn from Rap Radar, Complex Mag, Sway from MTV & more. This was so exclusive that people weren’t allowed to use Twitter during the session. Guests were encouraged to take notes and were offered RocNation notepads and pens. – An Otis Redding vocal sample song was a favorite. Many requested to play it again.

– He has finished two songs for his next solo LP, one of which features Frank Ocean. He mentioned that he reached out to Ocean after hearing his Nostalgia, Ultra mixtape and wanted him to contribute to his album.
