News: John Legend Blamed For Song Stealing

Sony Music recording artist John Legend is being accused of stealing a song from an unsigned artist he met back in 2004.

Singer/songwriter Anthony Stokes is reportedly filing a lawsuit against the Grammy-Award winning artist for taking credit for a song he gave Legend on a demo cd 7 years ago.  Featured on John Legend’s second studio album, “Once Again” (released in 2006), Stokes claims the song “Maxine’s Interlude” is a rip-off of his original song, “Where Are You Now”.

Stokes is demanding Legend to stop selling the track, in addition to unspecified damages.
