Actor Michael Rapaport provides a candid glimpse into the lives of the legendary Tribe Called Quest in their new documentary, “Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest””. The film has already received critical acclaim as the winner of the 2011 Audience Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival, in addition to being the Official Selection at Sundance. After a 10-year breakup, Rapaport captures the group on camera while on their reunion tour in ’98. The film documents various conflicts within the group, while also including commentary from Common, Pharrell, The Beastie Boys and Kanye West.
“Beats, Rhymes & Life” is set to premiere in select theatres nationwide tomorrow, July 8th.
