Common has decided to end his 10-year run with Universal Records to sign with Warner Bros. Music Group, announced yesterday by the label’s CEO Todd Moscowitz. The rapper states,
“I’m very grateful to be a part of this family, to be a part of this team,” says Common. “We have very inspirational, exciting music to team up with you. We’re just open to what this change can bring.”
MSDTV spotted the hip-hop lyricist in Los Angeles prepping for this weekend’s BET Awards, as he was being congratulated for the move. Common joins his new label mates – Estelle, Bruno Mars, T.I., and Lupe Fiasco.
