Producer Queen Latifah and creator Stacy Littlejohn have officially made their choice in replacing Stacey Dash with another bi-racial beauty–”All My Children” actress and Oil of Olay model Denise Vasi.

As reported by MSDTV, Dash made an her exit months ago, citing that the shooting location made it hard to spend time with her kids — although it was rumored that it was on set fighting that essentially caused Dash’s departure.

Now the 28-year-old Denise Vasi is moving on to the “Single Ladies” set — but not as a new ‘Val’. Instead she will be playing a woman named “Raquel” who has a very similar story. Deadline reports:

Vasi will play the new role of Raquel, a close friend of Keisha (McCoy) who is a savvy business woman from a prominent Southern family on a quest to discover passion. “Denise is the perfect addition to the Single Ladies cast,” Queen Latifah said. “She is bringing a fun, new element to the show.” Single Ladies, VH1′s first hourlong scripted series, is a romantic comedy series about Keisha, Raquel and April (Shea) – best friends with different philosophies on love, sex and relationships, proving not all women have the same desires.

“Single Ladies” begins production on Season 2 in Atlanta in January for a premiere in early summer. Of course MSDTV will be watching, will you?

Vh1 seems to have found themselves a new “Val” for their hit show “Single Ladies”. After only a week since Stacy Dash announced her departure from the show, VH1 is rumored to have offered Stacy Dash’s role to actress Meagan Good.

Good who recently dropped two movies this year, “Jumping The Broom” and “35 And Ticking” has also been making her television rounds in a reoccurring role on BET’s hit series “The Game.”

While their hasn’t been any official word from VH1 on who will officially replace Stacey Dash as of yet — the rumor-mill is reporting that Megan Good has role locked in.

It’s a sad day for the true fans of VH1′s TV show, Single Ladies. After rumors circulating that Stacy Dash may get fired & Lisa Raye voicing her opinion on the situation, “Val” gave an exclusive statement to Global Grind stating she won’t come back for their second season.

“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’, but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.”

VH1 also released a statement saying:

“VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans.”

Hip-Hop royalty Queen Latifiah is set to hit reality television this fall in ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”.

The “Single Ladies’s” creator is set to join the group of ballroom dancers, which already include the Jersey Shore’s Snooki, Tiffany Amber Thiessan, and Rob Kardashian.

TMZ reported earlier today that “stars” have already started taping. Will you be watching?

This has been the biggest question this week: to keep or fire Stacy Dash from the cast of VH1′s smash hit, Single Ladies? Earlier this week, rumors spread out into the blogpsphere world that “Val” was getting the boot because of her divaish attitude & her physical altercation with Lisa Raye. Even producer of the show, Queen Latifah had the intention of giving her the boot. Casting for her role for season two were in place…until a rep at VH1 told YBF the opposite.

“No casting decisions have been made for season 2 of ‘Single Ladies’.”

To be honest, we wouldn’t want a Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’s “aunt Vivian” moment to happen. The show is great with the cast they have. Let’s just hope they workout their differences & start shooting season two. Be the bigger person Stacy Dash…please!!!

Val gets an unexpected visit that will shock most viewers. This episode is full of drama. FYI: If you’re a fan of the show, you’ll be happy to hear a second season is on the way!
