Drake Smiles For GQ, Addresses Chris Brown Beef, Making $250 Million And Advice From Will Smith [Photos]

Hip Hops heartthrob, Drake covers the July 2013 issue of GQ Magazine…

In light of his forthcoming album “Northing Was the Same,” the 26-year-old donned designer labels Ralph Lauren Black Label, Tom Ford, Alexander Wang and more.

Inside the issue, the Canadian-bred MC dishes on his beef with Chris Brown, making $250 million by the time he turns 29 and putting his priorities in order.

On the Chris Brown fued:

I don’t want my name to be synonymous with that guy’s name. I really don’t. I wish we could sit down, just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that’s not going to happen. I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down. … It’s embarrassing, the amount of media coverage. Two rappers fighting over the woman. He’s not even a rapper, but still, it’s the last way you want your name out there. It distracts from the music. But he’s made me the enemy, and that’s the way it’s gonna stay, I guess. … If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly.

On Will Smith’s advice:

I had lunch the other day with someone I extremely look up to. Okay—I had lunch with Will Smith, and listening to him talk, it made me think I don’t know what love is. He said something profound. He said love is when you become one and you need that person. It’s not about wanting anymore, you need that person. Hearing that, I don’t know if I’ve ever felt that way. I’ve held women in very high regard almost to the point where I felt like I needed them for a very long time, but I don’t know if I comprehend it yet, and I’m okay with that. I’ve made a lot of music about love being the only thing I’m missing. I think this is the first album I’ve made saying, I’m okay. I’m enjoying it right now. Maybe this is my time to grind it out, make a run for it and add some memories with my boys.

On putting work before play:

You know the way fighters don’t fuck before the fight? Sometimes I feel like I’m so focused on training my body and getting my mind right to create this album that sex isn’t one of my main priorities. If someone is around that I know and trust, I’m down. But I’m not going to end up with some stranger at this party.

On making $250 million by the age of 29:

I feel this great responsibility to see how far can we take it, how out of reach can I set that bar for whoever comes after. While I’m here, I’m gonna keep pushing that bar higher and higher up and make you really work for it.

On creating the hype:

You constantly ask yourself: Will I ever be able to excite people the way I did when the Internet was going crazy, back when you first felt like you had a piece of Drake that no one else had, and you wanted to share it with your friends? Is there an album or song we can make now that’s good enough to get people that excited again? I ain’t gonna lie: I want to be the one you listen to this summer.

Comedian Dave Chappelle ends his self imposed exile and returns to the stand up stage this summer…

Dave Chappelle who is known for walking away from a $50 million deal with Comedy Central for his sketch comedy show ‘Chappelle Show’ in 2005 had decided to return to comedy with the “Funny Or Die Presents The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Tour.”

The 13 day tour will kick off Aug. 23 in Austin, Texas and wrap up Sept. 22 in Phoenix, AZ.

Jay-Z’s New York City nightclub, the 40/40 turned 10 last night, and of course the Hip Hop mogul celebrated the anniversary in style. MSDTV’s one and only, Ms. Drama hit the scene, snagging all the best party highlights…

The star-studded party drew in an eclectic mix of recording artists, actors, professional basketball players, journalists, reality television stars and so on.

The likes of Adrienne Ballon, Vinny Guadagnino, Angie Martinez, Robinson Cano, Jessica Sanchez and Bethenny Frankel were among the many to have hit the red carpet last night.

Man of the hour, Jay-Z shimmered in a gray suit, looking as dapper as ever.

And of course, Mrs. Carter was glowing alongside her husband, as the new mom donned a sultry form-fitting white Roberto Cavalli gown.

Lovebirds indeed, the Carters clanked champagne glasses, mingled with guests and enjoyed the festive night.

Apparently the Emmys aren’t too concerned about underage sex scandals — as Elmo’s handler, Kevin Clash cleaned house at the Day Time Emmy Awards…

As reported by MSDTV, Kevin Clash resigned from his role as puppeteer and voice actor for Elmo on Sesame Street after five young men came forward accusing Kevin of sexually abusing them while they were under age.

Good thing Elmo’s personal life wasn’t up for debate.

Kevin Clash ended up taking home an Emmy win for Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Series, Outstanding Directing in a Children’s Series and as a Sesame Street co-producer, a shared win for Outstanding Pre-School Children’s Series.
