Hide your kids! Hide your wife! Wait, nope – just hide your kids. O_o

It looks like Chi-town may have had a lapse of judgement last weekend as they made R&B singer R. Kelly the honorary grand marshal of the Bud Billiken Parade (a youth orientated parade) in Chicago.

The parade, which has been a Chi-town tradition since 1929, celebrates the importance of family, community and also encourages the youth of Chicago about education.

While some may feel Kelly has suffered enough scrutiny for his underage pursuits and child pornography, the secondary issue that has been brought up about Chicago’s faux pas is that the parade focuses on EDUCATION, and as noted in a 2009 interview with the singer, R. Kelly is illiterate. Kelly admits:

“I don’t even read really, and I’m not afraid to say that. My cousins and brothers used to tease me ‘You can’t even read right.”

It looks like Chi-town is setting this brother up for another FAIL or even worse a RELAPSE!

The price of fame has reached an all time high for NFL superstar Terrell Owens. Earlier this month he encountered a disgruntled fan in Miami who apparently had a few choice words for Owens ignoring his requests .

TMZ reports that while Terrell Owens was in Miami a “fan” decided to throw a full blown tantrum on T.O. since he wouldn’t sign an autograph or take a picture with him. (thirsty much?)

Soon after being declined, the fan decided to go on the verbal N-word attack, calling Owens a n*gger, and basically telling him – you ain’t sh*t. SMH.

Interestingly, while the verbal onslaught continued, T.O. smiled and took pics with other fans and basically ignored the stressed-out aggressor.

It looks like Terrell must be enrolled in some great anger management courses to survive all this – kudos to him.

Ciara hypnotized the Maliboom Boom crowd last night with an awe inspiring stage performance at the Radio Maliboom Boom Station Invasion Concert in NYC.

As the 5th stop in her nationwide tour to promote Malibu Rum, Ciara was the culminating act to a Caribbean inspired night. The night showcased the best of the Caribbean offering a waterfront ambience that highlighted Carnival dancers with Malibu inspired attire, a Tiki Bar mixing the most delicious Malibu concoctions, a photo station, a specialized DJ Scratch Academy booth to create your own summer mix and a seemingly never ending Barbeque.

Before the main show took place, guests enjoyed a perfected music mix by the legendary DJ Skribble as they sipped on Malibu drinks including the “literal” version of Liquid Sunshine:

As seen in the cartoon caricature above, CB gives fans a glimpse into his notepad highlighting himself rocking shades and a gold tooth, with a woman in a thong, so blazing sneakers, and a skull with marijuana smoke as his background.

As promised, Lil’ Kim strikes back after being previously denied (by Biggie’s mom) with an extended version of Monica’s Missy Elliott-produced single “Anything (To Find You).”

After Kim’s verse was cut from the final song and replaced with Rick Ross due to an issue with Biggie’s estate (i.e. Ms. Wallace say “H*ll NO”) – Kim promised fans she had “something Bigger for [them]“.

It looks like Soulja Boy has been caught in the act of story telling as the 21 year old rapper’s camp is now forced to come clean about the $55 million G5 jet purchase — that never happened.

TMZ reports that the rapper perpetuated a lie about purchasing a $55 million G5 jet and went so far as to have members of his management team (Shai Storm and Soulja’s assistant) verify the purchase, saying “Soulja dropped the cash on the private jet as a 21st birthday gift to himself”.

Apparently, Soulja Boy’s conscious didn’t weigh too heavy on him as he even went on a radio show in Miami yesterday for promo – and when asked if he bought the plane, he coyly told the DJ he was “G5 status” – which suggestively confirmed that he did. SMH

With all the recent attention, Soulja’s Boy’s camp has likely felt the pressure as the rapper’s “spokesperson” Greg Miller issued a statement on behalf of the artist … saying the “elaborate rumors” are “not true.”

According to TMZ, Soulja Boy’s management camp that had previously verified the story is now not returning calls or offering any statements. Instead they a text message saying, “[they were] instructed that all media relations are now going through Miller”.

Well it seems that whatever credibility Soulja Boy had left – has now disappeared with the jet. As Curren$y would say – “Jet Life!”

Its seems that Ms. Lauryn Hill is going to have a lot of explaining to do to her family and friends.

Yesterday she released via twitter (MsHillMvngTrgt) a surprising message to her followers and the father of her children, insinuating that the child she just delivered over the weekend may not be Rohan’s. O_o

As reported by MSDTV, Rohan previously alluded to the fact that he is not the father of Lauryn’s newest baby. Now it seems that Lauryn is supporting his claim by releasing this message below:

Mr Marley and I have a long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning. To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it. Contrary to numerous reports, Mr Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to us. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son.

Lauryn Hill is back in the headlines again – with more drama to report.

TMZ reports that pro guitar player Jay Gore has filed a lawsuit against Hill in small claims court in L.A. — claiming he played with her for a couple of weeks back in 2007 — and was supposed to make $3,590 for the gig … but he never received a check.

So far calls to Lauryn have not been returned. Perhaps her latest addition has her preoccupied?
