The Transform America is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance human rights by building synergy between student, non-profit, for-profit and community organization. The benefit concert featuring Lupe Fiasco & recently added to the roster, Kendrick Lamar. When? Monday, November 7th at Terminal 5 located on 610 W 56th Street in Manhattan.

Transform America intends for this benefit concert to be a dynamic and engaging experience where attendees can galvanize around social action and they would love for you to be present. Tickets are $50 for general admission and $100 for VIP. VIP Passes offer the best seats in the house and include swag bags of free merchandise. Ms. Drama TV hit the BET black carpet for some impromptu interview with some of the nominees and presenters for the night. During the mash-up, Da Brat talks to MSDTV about her upcoming project as well as her thoughts on female emcees, while Evan Ross talks about his unique fashion which includes stretch “MC Hammer” style pants.

Ms. Drama hits the BET Hip-Hop Awards black carpet and talks to Maybach music group artists, Stalley, Pill, Meek Mill and Rick Ross. In the interview Ross talks about cultivating Wale for his upcoming album and why he’s not so “forgiving”. In a lighthearted interview with Slaughterhouse, the group talks briefly about their upcoming album and moving forward, while Yelawolf talks about his “mysteriousness” nature.

For the first time in five years, NYC-based marketing/PR firm 135St Agency held their annual BET Hip Hop Awards weekend BBQ in Atlanta (instead of Harlem). 400 VIPs, including MSDTV of course, packed Piedmont Park’s Magnolia Hall. Fonzworth Bentley and Kelly G (BET’s EVP Music Programming) co-hosted the event along with featured DJs Drama, Trauma and Traci Steele. Lots of star power in the building last night: French Montana, Da Brat, Ray J, Dondria, Verse Simmonds, Devyne Stephens, Lil Duval, Jovita Moore (WSB TV anchor), Kwanza Hall (Atlanta City Council), Faune Watkins, D.Woods, Shanti Das, Derek J and comedian Shawty.

Guests sipped complimentary Remy V cocktails and FUZE drinks while chowing on hot dogs, hamburgers, bbq chicken, potato salad, corn, Popeye’s fried chicken and an assortment of cupcakes from Cocktail Cupcakes and Tasty Cakes ATL.

Universal Pictures was on deck to promote their upcoming action-comedy Tower Heist, starring Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller. Guests enjoyed a little Tower Heist experience in the ever-popular OMG Booth, and went home with gift bags filled with swag from Rocksmith, Carol’s Daughter, Dr. Miracles, Mixed Chicks, The Source and JUICY Magazine.

Up and coming singer Lance Drummonds opened the festivities at Metlife Stadium field with a soulful version of the Black National Anthem for “The 40th Annual New York Urban League Football Classic” last weekend.

The singer was in good company as veteran R&B acts, Eric Benet and Chrisette Michelle also performed as part of the pre game entertainment. A recent MSDTV hot seat survivor, Lance continues to take his movement to the next level.

Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta was fueled with a bunch of parties and events, especially High Level Media’s “The Reunion Concert” sponsored by Soul Headphones by Ludacris. The reunion concert took place at the Chastain Park Amphitheater & actor/DJ Idris Elba hosted the event which featured the Isley Brothers, El Debarge, Chico Debarge, Carl Thomas. Celebs like Ludacris, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, Real Housewives Phaedra Parks and Kandi, Jasmine Guy & more showed up in support of the festivity. More pictures are available under the hood.
