This week has featured some of the good, the bad and unfortunately, the ugly as a few select artists have had a pretty interesting week in headline news.

Check out our Entertainment News weekend wrap-up featuring this week’s – the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY!

THE GOOD: Jim Jones Gets a Hair Cut!

Diplomat co-founder and rapper – Jim Jones revealed a shocking new look this week via twitter when he decided to cut off his signature thugged-out cornrow braids that he’s been infamously known for throughout his career. Jones comments on his new style:

“Get a good look at th bad guy this th last time u see a bad guy look this good#SPOOKY #vampirelife #CAPO” Jones tweeted earlier this morning.

THE BAD: 50 Cent’s headphone line, “Sleek By 50″ gets discontinued!

50 Cent’s new headphone line, “Sleek By 50,” has been discontinued after only five months on the market. Sleek Audio issued a press release claiming that they are canceling plans to develop the line any further:

“We will be re-evaluating our Wireless Hybrid over-the-ear headphones at a later date. Currently we are working to bring our new, U.S.-made in-ear products to the market,” Mark Krywko, CEO of Sleek Audio, said in the press release.

I guess the Doctor had a problem with the competition?

THE UGLY: Consequence goes off on the Rapfix couch about Q-Tip and Kanye West!

This week, the one-time A Tribe Called Quest MC Consequence sat down on the Rapfix couch to talk to MTV’s Sway about his music and industry “drama”. In the explosive interview, Cons lets go some pretty entertaining bombshells that target mentor Q-Tip and one time friend Kanye West. According to Cons, he has some major issues with the executive producers of his debut album on G.O.O.D. music which never saw the light of day.

Midway through his extensive chat, Q-Tip caught wind of his blood cousin’s verbal lashings and decided to take his grievances out on Twitter:

“N—as be watching too much wrestling” Q-Tip said referring to Consequence.

“Poor sway.. He’s looking like damn!!! Where is the road map” Tip continued. “He doesn’t even know what the hell he’s talking abt. Now he’s talking abt my biz? He DOESN’T know what he’s talking abt” Tip said.

MTV offers more of the interview summary below:

At one point during his candid interview Consequence pointed out that he took issue with Q-Tip pointing out Tribes interview when his cousin sat on the very same couch and pulled out a xeroxed copy of an email from director Michael Rappaport. According to Cons, Q-Tip is too big of a star to walk around referring to a piece of paper as critical documentation.

Following the interview, the Abstract one expressed sympathy with host Sway for sitting through the emotion-filled interview.

“@RealSway I’m sorry u had to deal with that” Q-Tip concluded.

Is it me or is this rapper mid-life crisis thing becoming an epidemic? S/O to the mental stable rappers out there! O_o
