Jenifer Lewis stopped by the Urban Suite to discuss her explosive new memoir, The Mother of Black Hollywood.

During out chat the black-ish actress discussed her struggles with bioplar disorder and sex addiction (yes she talked about her encounter with John Voight). She also explained the message of her new book and why she enjoyed working with the millenials, and even broke out in song!

Keke Palmer stopped by the Urban Suite to talk about her new role on Epix’s Berlin Station.

While there, Keke chopped it up about her recent  EP, Lauren, her connection to R. Kelly (don’t worry she’s not in a cult) and some of her upcoming projects like Star and Scream — the series.

We had plenty to get into — and you already know Keke did not hold back or mince her words on any of the drama. Plus, she left us with some vocals — so stay tuned until the end…

Alfonso Ribeiro stopped by the Urban Suite to discuss the new season of America’s Funniest Home Videos.

While there, we had to discuss  a few pressing matters like … the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Since most still remember him as the preppy Carlton Banks from the Fresh Prince, I had to ask Ribeiro about a few Fresh Prince related questions like — what’s up with a reboot, what’s good with the original Aunt Viv and is the “Carlton” dance officially retired. Check out our fun interivew after the break…

Remember Quvenzhané Wallis — that cute little girl who at age nine was the youngest actress to receive an Oscar nomination for her role as Hushpuppy in Beasts of the Southern Wild?

Well, now Quvenzhané is a teenager and with two new published children’s books on her hands: A Night Out with Mama which recalls her night at the Oscars and Shai & Emmie Star in Break an Egg a new children’s series.

Quvenzhané stopped by the Urban Suite to discuss her new projects, life after the Oscars, and meeting with Beyonce for the first time. It appears the Beyonce might be calling on her again for another project… Check after the break for the full interview…

Last week, I chopped it up with the incomporable Lee Daniels. In addition to discussing the new seasons of Empire and Star, Daniels weighed in on President Trump and the #TakeTheKnee protest.

Trust me — he had plenty to say on that.

Also, we talked about his upcoming projects – including the Terms of Endearment remake, which he confirms is 100% in the works. Plus — he had a special message to Oprah. Check that and bunch of other great stuff after the break….

Last week I sat down with Growing Up Hip Hop star Romeo Miller who talked about the latest season of his WeTV show. Albeit it always seams like the New York versions of the franchises are usually bland compared to the ATL version, but I guess it’s worth checking out.

Romeo also talked about the No Limit reunion at Essence, which I told him was not quite what I expected. I, of course, addressed the whole #bowwowchallege, and among other things he talked about the No Limit Tour, his father’s biopic, and his “friendship” with Angela Simmons.
