Bobbi Kristina has been telling some of her friends she’d like to portray her mom in the upcoming film biopic. More details after the jump.
We reported that superstars like Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks and Brandy are all currently under consideration for the role.
According to TMZ, Bobbi Kristina told friends that she believes she’s the “perfect person” to play her late mother in a biographical film, because “no one knew her better.”
Clive Davis, record label executive and long-time friend of Houston, has been working on this biopic for a minute now. A source recently told People UK,
“Whitney knew about the project and was excited to see where it would lead. It’s hoped the biopic will be as successful as Tina Turner movie ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It,’ which landed two Oscar nominations for Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne who played Tina and Ike Turner.”
During her interview with Oprah, Bobbi Kristina did mention she wanted to be a movie star.
“I’m her daughter, I gotta keep movin’, I gotta carry on her legacy. We’re gonna do the singing thing, we’re gonna do some acting, some dancing, you know. It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it.”
We’ll keep you posted.
