Nicki Minaj hit the stage on “American Idol” last night to perform her single “Starship,” but it’s the few moments surrounding it that are most memorable.
While chatting with Ryan Seacrest, Nicki said she’d like to come back as a guest judge and sit on the panel. And after Ryan asked Randy, Steven and Jennifer what they thought, Nicki looked right at J Lo and said:
“J-Lo, can you scoot over a little bit?”
And then Jennifer Lopez quickly replied with:
“I don’t think there’s room enough for both of us here!”
Nicki later addressed the comment backstage saying,
“She didn’t seem to be having it but she gonna have it!” Then she added, “No, actually, I love J-Lo. I love what she’s done for pop culture I have nothing but respect for her and we were just joking around. I’m sure I’ll have lots of fun with them when I’m guest judging.”
Was Nicki Minaj too straight forward towards J-lo? Was Jennifer’s reply in reference to both girls having big “derriere” and that’s what there’s not enough room for both? You be the judge.
