T-Boz of TLC has joined the unpopular bankruptcy club, as the singer (real name Tionne Watkins) filed her official documents last month in a U.S. Bankruptcy Court owing creditors $768,642.99 — mostly from mortgages on her $1.2 million house.
The documents show that Watkins takes in an estimated $11,700/month in income, while her monthly expenses totals $8,821. TMZ reports that the singer possibly could have avoided the bankruptcy file if she’d been able to collect the child support she claims she’s owed — which according to the docs is $250,000.
TLC, the popular 90s group, had ten top ten singles, four number one singles, four multi-platinum albums, and four Grammy Awards, but according to the documents, T-Boz only pulls in $1,200/month in royalties.
Of course, MSDTV will keep you posted.
