Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J. has a lot to smile about as the Oscar winning rapper just signed a new deal with Wiz Kahlifa’s Taylor Gang record label.

Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J. have collaborated on several projects including the “Black and Yellow” remix so this seems like a natural progression in their business relationship. Juicy J brings more than 20 years of experience to the Taylor Gang. One can liken him to a good investor; Juicy J. has multiple revenue streams and isn’t giving up his “day job” as detailed in his latest interview with Allhiphop.com:

Juicy also gave fans an update on the possibility of a new Three Six Mafia album, which should be released in 2012.

“He’s [DJ Paul] working on some stuff, we still got Three Six Mafia, we still working, you know we got a new album,” Juicy J. revealed. “I got a meeting with Sony tomorrow to see what’s up with that, I got multiple hustles. I got ‘Trippy t-shirts’, hoodies, and DVD’s man. We trippy mane.”

Of course, MSDTV will keep you posted. Stay tuned.

Azealia Banks at the Bodega

Female MC and newcomer, Azealia Banks is ready to give pop femcee and frontrunner Nicki Minaj a run for her money.

Although still fairly new to this game, Banks has already attained a dedicated fan base and proves to have an addicting rap style listeners have deemed as “lyrical whiplash”.

As seen in this video, Banks offers a relatable and conversational style that seemingly transcends gender lines and offers a unique appeal. With lyrics like “You can tell I been that bitch since the pamper” and “I’m a rude bitch n*gga, what are you made of,” Banks is set to dominate the femcee realm as she is proving to be up for the challenge.

MSDTV Events: Wonder Twins Dee and Ricky G-Shock Launch Party

Posted by Graham On November - 30 - 2011

Ricky sporting the Dee & Ricky limited edition G-Shock

Casio’s G-Shock is experiencing a rebirth of sorts via collaborations with outspoken performing and visual artists including Ke$ha and Parra. Now, more youth appeal is being breathed into the brand with its latest collaboration.

MSDTV attended an exclusive launch party for Dee and Ricky’s limited edition Casio G-Shock watch at Trinity Place in New York City. Hundreds of guests including media, watch collectors, stylists and fashion nerds jockeyed for space in the swanky restaurant space, located inside an old bank vault. Long before the twins collaborated with G-Shock, they were making waves in high fashion thanks to creating accessories for Marc Jacobs in 2008. Playing with Lego® blocks has certainly paid off for these innovative, young designers.

Forever inspired by Lego®, Dee & Ricky said that they are delivering “time via the coolest kids in America,” with a splash of primary colors – red, blue, green and yellow – across the face adding a shocking pop to the stark white matte finish timepiece. The watch remains rooted in G-Shock technology featuring, magnetic resistance, shock resistance, 200M water resistance, Auto LED Light, 48 City World Time, 1/1000th stopwatch with speed indicator, 4 Daily Alarms and 1 Snooze Alarm, and 12/24 Hr formats.

In the midst MSDTV ran into Va$htie, Coco and Breezy, Peter Hadar and Theophilus London. DJ Gravy and DJ Mel Debarge kept the well and uniquely dressed crowd entertained in between performances by Swizzy Swinton, Vinny Cha$e and Bobby 2 Flea. MSDTV had a chance to interview downtown’s sweetheart Va$htie, who told us why she stepped out to support Dee and Ricky:

“I’ve known Dee and Ricky for almost 10 years and I love them. I want to support whatever they do. Kids have a lot to learn from them. It’s great to be a part of something so iconic as them having their own Casio.”

We will be keeping you up to date on more collaborations from this designer duo and Casio.

Let MSDTV know if you’re running out to cop this piece.

Rumor: New Drake Diss Track On It’s Way From .. Kanye?!

Posted by MsDrama On November - 30 - 2011

It’s hard to believe that two of the softest most emotional rappers out could possibly have a legitimate beef, but according to MediaTakeOut.com, Drake and Kanye West have been at it for months stemming from a swagger jacking issue.

According to the site, Kanye has officially written off Drake for some months all now because he feels Drake stole his style. SMH.

MTO reports that Kanye “flexed his muscles” in a strategic move that may have ended up costing Drake millions of dollars.

A MTO source explains that Drake’s album Take Care, was supposed to come out on his birthday October 24th which would coincide with the release of his Octobers Very Own (OVO) clothing line. Unfortunately for the Canadian rapper, Kanye decided to deny Drake his samples at the last minute which led to them being removed from the album – pushing it back.

Hence, Drake’s album was delayed for three weeks – causing DRAMA in his release schedule. And according to one celebrity insider, this delay likely cost Drake millions of dollars.

And to add fuel to the fire, MTO is also claiming that Ye plans to drop a newly penned DISS TRACK to Drake – that will be on his next album.

Sigh. Can’t these fellas just HUG it out? Of course, MSDTV will keep you posted. So stay Tuned.

Rappers and hip-hop moguls across the nation just shed an imaginary tear as the news broke yesterday that the infamous Maybach car line will not be continued.

According to Automotive News, only 44 Maybachs have been sold in the U.S. this year through October, and prices range between about $375,000 to nearly $1.4 million.

CEO Dieter Zetsche announced the company will be ending its ultra-luxurious Maybach brand, saying, “we held extensive discussions internally about which way would promise the greatest success in the luxury segment, and we came to the conclusion that the sales chances for the Mercedes brand were better than that of Maybach.”

For those still wanting to get their dream car – production will officially stop in 2013, when the next generation S-Class is reported to be coming out.

Of course MSDTV will keep you posted. Stay Tuned.
