Rihanna was spotted today getting her carnival on, in her home country of Barbados celebrating Kadooment Day.
Kadooment, or “crop over” day is an island-wide tradition for the people of Barbados – first beginning in the month of June, and ending on the first day of August, every year. It is a celebration of culture and unity, which features a day-long festival filled with dancing, parades, and…madness!
Def Jam songstress, Rihanna took part in this year’s festivities, as she was pictured on the floats in full Kandooment garb – a traditional costume worn by most, if not all the women affiliated with the parade. The Bajan beauty thoroughly enjoyed herself, not holding back in celebration – at all.
