News: BET Cancels “The Mo’Nique Show”

Reports state, that BET’s “The Mo’Nique Show”  has indefinitely been put on hiatus by the network, after only two seasons.

It is rumored that the cancellation is due to complications with Mo’Nique’s management, as an official statement was released from BET executives,

The Mo’Nique Show will be on production hiatus beginning in the fall.” … Mo’Nique Hicks and The Mo’Nique Show are important to the BET Networks family and we look forward to continuing our relationship our with her.”

Mo’Nique has had an incredible run – in addition to her Academy Award/Golden Globe wins for her performance in the film Precious,  her exposure as a late night talk show host will grant her more opportunities in the future.
