Some will say it’s about 2 years overdue, but hip-hop artist T-Pain has finally decided to put to death auto-tune.

According to a recent statement published by Allhiphop.com, Pain has vowed to never use Auto-Tune again.

While the voice altering tool has helped Pain to change the course of how hip-hop is recorded and heard, he states it’s officially a done deal for him.

“I vow right here, right now, to never use Auto-Tune again. I’m onto something that I think is bigger and better called ‘The T-Pain Effect.’”
