Luther Campbell has had enough. Apparently the rapper/reality star turned politician is tired of hearing that his campaign isn’t raising any money. Well, to be completely honest, it really isn’t. Yet, Uncle Luke Mr. Campbell has decided to clear up all the gossip by his following statement to the press:
Recent reports online and on the radio claim that I raised “only” $250 during a fundraiser in support of my current bid for Mayor of Miami-Dade County. These reports are wrong, but not by a lot. My campaign is not rolling in dough. There are no lobbyists or special interest groups supporting me. My campaign runs on donations from everyday people of $5 dollars at a time. I never expected to raise $50,000 at a fundraiser. I raised close to two thousand dollars at the fundraiser in question, which can be checked with the Dade County Elections Bureau, but let’s say I “only” raised $250 on that day. That means fifty every day citizens believed enough in me to give me five dollars a piece, and I am okay with that. That makes me proud.
This is not the first time naysayers have shed negative light on the good I have done for the public. When I fought for freedom of speech, I made history. There were many who sat by the sidelines with their arms crossed, but guess what? I won that fight all the way up to the Supreme Court.
I remain a believer in the people and a believer in our rights, and that is why I am running for the mayor. This is my town. I grew up here. My family and friends are here, and I am truly working for the community. My winning will be because of the support I get from them. I’m with that type of history making. This is not a race about who is raising the most money; it is a race about helping and reaching those that live in Miami-Dade.
I am going door-to-door talking to individuals, gaining their respect all while I am growing in the polls. Recent polls in Miami are showing me in second place tying with Gimenez. 62% of the folks in Miami are still undecided and I do plan to win those votes. So you tell me what matters: the people or the money? When we win, I guess we will be called rocket scientists because we did it our way. I am the kind of politician that works for the people and not the man.
While I am all for the advancement of the struggling community, I envision it being a bumpy road to get people on board and open to donating. Like J. Cole says, all you really need is a “dollar and a dream”. In this case, five dollars and a better campaign manager.

Here we go again folks. Reality star and personality, Frankie Lons was arrested yesterday due to an arrest warrant – stemming from a probation violation. When pulled over by police for a routine traffic violation (was Frankie riding dirty?) cops discovered she had an outstanding warrant and found other drug-related material on her person. SMH.
According to TMZ, Frankie was taken to jail where she was booked for misdemeanor possession of the drug-related material and a probation violation. As of now, she is still in custody.
And word is…Keyshia Cole and Neffe ain’t in a rush to bail her out. O_o

Reality shows are apparently the new sitcoms and dramas now. It seems that anyone who’s looking to be a celebrity in the entertainment world is trying their luck at getting on a reality show.
Not surprisingly, Amber Rose – has also made mention of an upcoming reality show entitled, “Behind Her Shades” which would be a behind the scenes glimpse of her life. (Anyone care yet?)
Here’s what Rose had to say to VIBE earlier this month:
“Well, I also have a reality show that’s gonna come out on VH1 and start filming early June, so that’s gonna be incorporated in the show. The shop isn’t up right now. You’ll see the process that I have to go through in order to get — it’s not really easy to get a store and get people to come….but it’ll go through. My show is going to be an open book of my life and my family and my businesses and its called “Behind Her Shades,” because usually I have shades on and its everything behind them that people don’t know about. But they will learn, and part of that is my shade shop. It’s all vintage frames.”
Unfortunately, Rose appears to have jumped the gun on her supposed show as a rep for the company told MTV that they have no knowledge of any such project.
Amber has not yet released a statement on the issue. Dayummmm. Oh well – I’m sure we’ll live.
In other reality show news, Coco, wife of Ice T — will now officially star in her own reality TV show, which will be broadcast on E!.
TMZ broke the news earlier this week that her show will be titled “Coco’s Secret”, which will focus on the couple’s life in New York City.
Coco then confirmed the announcement via social networking site Twitter writing, “OH wow!!! TMZ broke my secret today!!!!! I”ve been wanting to tell my followers for a month now. Here it is- http://bit.ly/gpNEaF.”
She added, “Since the secrets out. Yes. Been working really hard this month on my new Reality Show that airs June 12th on E! 1030pm after the Kardashians.”
Congrats to Coco. I’m not sure what this secret is – but I hope it’s good!

Uh-oh! Khloe says she’s being “tortured” over her weight! (sad face)
Similar to Sunday’s episode of “Khloe and Lamar”, Khole, 26, addresses her lifelong body battle with her weight in the upcoming issue of Us Weekly. In the feature, Khole opens up about overeating and even starving herself at times to loose extra pounds.

“They are 5-foot and 5-foot-2, so I look massive next to them,” the 5-foot-10 Khloe said of her famous sisters. “Everyone expects me to be 9 feet tall and weigh 200 pounds,” when seeing her in person…“I had older women tell me, ‘You should really work out,’” she recalled. “It really got to me.”
Khloe, who is now married to Lakers star Lamar Odom, said she radically changed her diet when she hit her teenage years and began working out as often as three times a day. During that time she was able to dropped from a size 12 to a 0.
Although Khloe’s size has fluctuated over the years – last June she denied being pregnant, announcing to the world “I’m just fat” – to the point where she’s just now becoming comfortable with her curvy shape.
“Now I can say that I’m proud of my body,” Khloe wrote Wednesday on her blog, where she urged fans to read the Us interview. “My body weight will always be something that I will have to work on for the rest of my life,” she said, “but I am finally in a really good place and learning to love me for me and not for someone else’s standards. If I can help other people find the self-confidence that I’ve found, then I’m definitely a happy girl,” she added.

Everyone has a black sheep in their family – that drunk uncle, that thieving cousin, that ex-sister in law who keeps coming around your momma’s crib asking for money. Yea, it sucks to be them – but it really sucks to be Sarah Ferguson right now. It appears that The Duchess of York intentionally did not receive an invite to the Royal wedding! And to add insult to injury the Royal “black sheep” has been asked to keep a low profile on the very special day.
Sources to the Royal Family say:
“The last thing the family wants is a picture of Sarah in a bikini on a beach popping up the day of the wedding or even worst mopping around by herself while everyone else is celebrating. They have basically told her to disappear and not be any distraction to the big day.”
Why is Sarah F. having such a hard knock life in the Royal Family? Well her most recent scandal involved being caught trying to sell media access to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew (not a good look, smh). Lately, she has been busy working on a new show, ‘Finding Sarah,’ for Oprah’s OWN channel. But despite her focus to redeem herself, the Royals have made it clear they are in no mood to forgive.
