I could technically go on a rant about this subject, but I think Project Pat and Three 6 Mafia’s video sums up Wiz Khalifa’s current relationship with Amber Rose the best. In the words of Project Pat:

“Don’t save her, she don’t want to be saved!”

Cue the video and enjoy.

Compton’s own YG appears on Ms. Drama’s radio show to talk about his recent feature as a XXL Freshman. He opens up about his start in the game, and being the originator of the Jerk Movement. He emphasizes his youth fanbase and how it helped him to ultimately receive support from his idol, Snoop Dogg. In regards to his relationship with 50 and G-Unit, he explains how Lloyd Banks helped him out when a New York club wasn’t having him.

On the topic of being lyrical versus making hits, YG explains that he’s more focused on making hits then being considered a lyrical artist. He admits that he started rapping to get back at someone, but says that if he “wanted to be a lyrical artist he could be one”. He also goes further saying Lil Wayne and Drake are lyrical, but Tupac Shakur wasn’t lyrical and that “he just told the truth”. YG ends with his upcoming releases, and why he’s waiting to drop his album. He finishes with a “Drama Queen” freestyle.

Well it looks like Miss Jones is headed back to New York radio folks!

They say it’s to do a Saturday show on Kiss-FM, but I’m sure there’ll be more to come. This seems like a ratings strategy to me, but we shall see. Stay tuned!

Here’s the abbreviated Emmis Press Release:

( NEW YORK, NY) – 98.7 KISS FM (WRKS ) announces the return of Miss Jones back to New York as the host of their new Saturday morning show, “ Jonesy’s KISS List Countdown” kicking off April 2 from 10am to 12pm.  Every Saturday the infamous Miss Jones will invite the entire New York Tri-State area to join her as she counts down the top 20 songs of the week.

“I’m very excited to rejoin my Emmis family with ‘Jonesy’s Kiss List’!  As most of you know, I began my career as an R&B artist in the mid 90′s so the music is close to my heart,” explains Miss Jones.  “On another note, I can’t wait to get back to the city…Let’s Go!”

Weekly, Miss Jones will post her favorite R&B songs from the 80’s, 90’s and today on www.987KISSFM.com and give listeners the chance to vote on the top 20 to make “Jonesy’s KISS List Countdown.”

Emmis NY SVP, Market Manager commented, “This is just one of many strategic [ratings] moves that PD, Jill Strada has made from working with syndicators on music, bringing Tom Joyner back to New York, to crafting a show for heavy hitter name Ed Lover, and now for the lovely, talented and unique Miss Jones.  KISS FM is all set for its next chapter of success as we move into our next 30 years”

Miss Jones, known for her “straight talk, no chaser” style, has made her mark on the map not only in the radio arena, but also in the world of television and print, authoring an auto-biography, and has interviewed and shook hands with some of the industry’s most exclusive players.  Now,  Miss Jones is ready to bring back a double dose of laughs, juice and up-to-the minute entertainment news every Saturday from 10am to 12pm only on 98.7 KISS FM.

Ms. Drama talks to Maybach Music artist, Meek Mill about his XXL Freshman appearance and his upcoming mixtape, Dream Chasers. Mill explains that the mixtape documents his struggle as an artist coming from the bottom and rising to the top. He talks about the Philly scene and that artists in the area still show support. He reveals that he has a good relationship with notable Philly artists, such as Jill Scott and Black Thought, who he says he can call on.

In regards to his situation with Maybach music, Mills explains that there is now no pressure since he feels he has proved himself as an artist and emcee. He talks about Ross being a motivator and why now he’s confident when he steps into the studio. On the note of T.I. and his past Grand Hustle relationship, Mills explains he was “never officially signed” and that he still continues to stay in contact with T.I. from jail. Mill admits he was also dealing with some jail time and that the Ross situation came at a more opportune time for him. The interview ends with Mills perspective on performing in New York, his Akoo Clothing ad, the XXL Freshman relationships and his thoughts on artists dealing with the pressures of Media (similar to the CB incident).

R.I.P – Megatron: Radio/TV Personality and Friend

Posted by MsDrama On March - 27 - 2011

I never imagined writing a post like this, but I knew I needed to personally express my respect and condolences to Megatron and his family. He was truly a brother and mentor to me, as an upcoming personality, and he can never be replaced. In my eyes, there is never a good reason for violence as there will always be someone on the other side who will sadly have to bear that burden and pain.

God bless his family, friends, co-workers and every person he touched with his smile, advice, good will and charity. We will miss you.

Here is an excerpt of the report from the NY Daily News:

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Family and friends are coping with the death of DJ Megatron, aka Corey McGriff, who died early this morning after being shot in the torso in Stapleton.

“I just don’t understand how could anyone want to do this,” said his friend and business associate Mex Guerrera, according to a report from thesource.com. “He didn’t have beef with anyone, who would want to hurt him.”

“He was a good person,” Keith Robinson, who identified himself as Megatron’s father-in-law, told the Daily News. “Everyone’s just shocked.”

McGriff, 32, was shot at about 2 a.m. in front of 120 Osgood Ave., not far from his home.

Police responded and discovered him with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
