GAGE:

New York City grounds stand to be the most competitive platform for hip-hop music. Artists battle, beef and compete against each other daily for titles, record deals and credibility. They post music on Web sites, distribute mix tapes & perform in showcases in hopes that the right ears will hear their stories. Among those artists is a Brooklyn-born and raised 23-year-old rapper who, to many, is known as Gage.

Gage’s story is one of the few that is built from the ground up. Growing up without a father figure at 3 years old, he was forced to live in a homeless shelter with his mother and two brothers for two years. To feel a sense of normality in his life, Gage found great comfort in playing sports, particularly baseball and basketball, with his brothers. At the age of nine, he wrote his first lyrics.

A very young, street-smart Gage recorded his first song at 12 years old. Producers and engineers noticed that, even while that young, he was especially strong in utilizing an essential amount of energy and near-perfect poise to successfully package a track. Powerful lyrics, all-round great delivery and versatility led gage in being the first unsigned artist to ever perform two consecutive years on the worldwide-known Funk master Flex Car & Bike Show tour. At this tour, Gage realized that he can move a crowd with his music just as well as any known artist can…and this was soon known all over New York City. After the Flex tour, Gage took the title at Vibe’s Unsigned Hype Tour, and, in no time, Gage’s name, under DTF Entertainment & Management, was included in every major artist showcase throughout New York & beyond. He took the winnings in every hip-hop artist/rapper competition he entered. His street team was found all over the tri-state handing out mix tapes and Gage promotional items. Gage was on his way.

With so much story and hustle behind him, Gage only has great things to look forward to. With great support and untouchable talent, New York City and the world can only expect the best in Gage.
